Children of Time Meeting

The Time has come for us to have a Children of Time Meeting for March. This will take place on Saturday, March 28th, at Cricketers Arms. There will be NO COVER for this meeting. This is just a night for us all to get together, have a drink, a bite, and a laugh as we watch some great TV on a REALLY big screen. While there is no cover, we do request that if you plan on attending that you RSVP. This way we can have a good estimate on attendance.

That is entirely up to you. Take the poll below and tell us what you would like to see. Majority Rule. The choices include:

Tis the Season!!

The holidays are upon us!!

Fresh on the tails of our very successful party to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Doctor Who, the time has come for us to celebrate the holidays in the way that only a Time Lord can.

On Saturday, December 27th, we will be back at Cricketers Arms for another evening of fun, friends, food, and of course WHO!!

On the plate for that night will be viewings of the various Christmas Specials.

But Be WARNED!!!! I have it on good authority that there might be a Cyber Invasion that night!!!!!!

Tuddle and I will also be on hand holding try outs for our “Just a Minute” team. With a standing challenge to DWNY, we need to get a good start.

Full Details will be on the site this weekend, but I thought I would give you a teaser of the holiday festivities to come.

Meet, Greet, Drink, & Eat – Begins at 5:30pm – open to the pubic

Grab a Sonic Screwdriver (of the liquid variety) at the bar and join Terrance Dicks and your fellow Whovians for some authentic British fare.

The 45th Anniversary Celebration – Begins at 7:30pm – event ticket required

Join us in Cricketer’s private party room for the main event!

Please bring your confirmation email with you to exchange for your event ticket.

• 45th Anniversary Video – Travel through time to commemorate and celebrate 45 years of Doctor Who.
• Terrance Dicks Q&A – Convention Chair Jarrod Cooper interviews Terrance and hosts the Q&A session.  This is your chance to talk to the man who has written over 100 Doctor Who stories and has been part of the Doctor Who universe since 1968.
• Terrance Dicks Autograph Session -  Terrance Dicks will participate in an autograph session for event attendees. You are responsible for providing your own materials for signing.  Please limit this to 2-3 items per person.
• Photo Ops with Terrance and the TARDIS!

Pub Social – Begins at approximately 11:00 pm – open to the public

After the main event, join us back in the pub for a celebration into the night.

Cricketers Arms Preview

Last night, I met Jarrod at Cricketers Arms Pub for a preview of our new party space and brought back some pictures to share with you.

First, to get some logistical issues out of the way – I’m happy to say that Cricketers is very easy to get to and since it is part of Festival Bay Mall there is plenty of FREE parking. If you are visiting, transportation is available from just about any area hotel by both the iRide Trolley and the Lynx Bus System for a minimal fee. Cricketers is located at the main entrance of the mall next to Fudruckers. It’s pretty hard to miss!
